Claro Enterprises is a not for profit charitable organisation with a primary purpose of providing a service to the community of the Harrogate District. It operates as a commercial workshop, making goods for businesses, which enables those suffering with long term severe and enduring mental health problems, to function in a voluntary ‘paid’ real work supportive and supervised environment. Through training and personal development, clients can improve their quality of life, confidence, independence, self esteem and gain skills, which will enable them to look for, and hopefully achieve, meaningful employment.
Around 40 clients are employed by Claro Enterprises who work on a wide range of equipment including a CNC router, computer, and joinery tools to produce a wide range of products. They also provide light assembly and packing services for local manufacturing companies. The workshop is managed by Helen Wilkinson and General Manager Owen Jones who in turn report to a Management Committee.
Visitors are welcome and group visits can be made by arrangement which includes a tour of the workshop
Visiting the workshop and purchasing our products will help secure the future of the project. So do call in any time betwen 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday and view our unique range of products.
